How it Works
Coaching can be face-to-face or by telephone. The client-coach relationship is a partnership. The client decides the agenda and the coach is responsible for keeping the conversation productively on track.
Typically, there are a series of focussed conversations. The coach helps the client stay focussed on his or her agenda and encourages forward movement toward the desired outcome.
The coach asks questions, encourages, challenges, reflects back and supports the client through the process. The coach may offer a ‘checking in’ option where the client can discuss how they are getting on between sessions about undertakings they made previously. Many clients find this useful.
And, typically, there is no typical. Many clients choose one hour or one and a half hour sessions – some choose shorter more frequent sessions, others choose longer but less frequent and others a combination. Many organisations choose arrangements based on session, half-day or full day engagements. Packages are tailored to suit individual client’s needs, schedules and budgets.
